"I bought my used Civic here last month and have come back multiple times for services and each time has been a complete pleasure trip! The salesmen are really nice to talk to, as though we are buddies in college or something. When I was waiting inside a couple of times, I watched the Euro2012 Soccer Cup with Amer and we chatted. Bob, the bald guy, is great too and has a jolly smile when he greets you.

The owner, Steve, is super generous and helpful. I went to the New Honda Owner Workshop, and he explained a lot of the services they offer - which are great! When you're waiting around getting your car fixed up, you can take their shuttle around the area in a 10-mile radius, or borrow one of their 2 mountain bikes to bike to the shopping areas or the trails out back. They had a raffle to give out prizes like Angels tickets, window tinting, and detailing. I didn't win the raffle, but the guy who won the window tinting didn't need it, so Steve sought me out after and gave me the tint instead. What a nice guy!

Gary who helped me out for my paint touch-up is a funny guy too.

They also have pastries on Monday, instant awesome coffee machine all the time, and a play area for kids. They were really nice to me the 3-4 times I went, so I decided to bring them cake pops one time when I was in the area." - Pauline L.

Take me to your pilot — or better yet, a Honda Pilot and I'll hit the road for a memorable vacation.

With Honda's full-sized Pilot, a buyer has one of the most well-rounded and capable sport utility vehicles on the road.

This is a unit with three rows of seats, a spacious and accommodating interior and a wonderful 3.5-litre engine that sounds delicious and performs impeccably.

The tester, a fully loaded mid-level Pilot EX-L, is the kind of SUV I could have easily taken on holiday this week — a Honda big enough for my fishing gear and a few fishing buddies. With towing capacity of 4,500 pounds, the Pilot also is capable of hauling a nice fishing rig.

The Pilot comes prewired for a trailer and has an integrated hitch. Five models of the Pilot are available from the base LX 2WD with a starting MSRP of $34,920 to the top of the line Touring with a base MSRP of $48,520. In between are the EX ($40,820), EX-L ($43,120) and EX-L RES ($44,720).

All Pilots are powered by a 3.5-litre, 24-valve SOHC i-VTEC V6 engine cranking out 250 horsepower at 5,700 rpm Transmission is a five-speed automatic.

While some other SUVs may have more power, none that I've tested have an engine that matches the Pilot's for pure pleasure. Responsive and fuel efficient with ratings of 23 mpg city and 34 mpg highway, the VTEC motor is a true highway star — someone please cue up the Deep Purple! That engine has variable cylinder management which deactivates cylinders when full power isn't needed, cutting down on fuel consumption.

Tip of the day: Blast floor mats with a hose

When washing your car, drag out the rubber or carpet floor mats and blast them with the hose.This will dislodge dirt particles that, if allowed to build up, will grind holes in your mats. Let the mats dry thoroughly in the sun before reinstalling them.

Tip of the Day: Only use washer fluid

Don’t add water to the windshield washer reservoir. It won’t clean as well as washer fluid, and it may freeze in cold weather and damage the system. Don’t try to run your windshield washer system once you suspect there’s no more fluid in the tank, or you may damage the washer fluid pump.
